Position Title: Clinical Genomic Research Fellow

The NETwork! research group sits within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) at the University of Auckland and has close links with Auckland City Hospital under the auspices of the Auckland Academic Health Alliance.
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the team as a Clinical Genomic Research Fellow. The successful applicant will be part of the team investigating genomic and molecular characteristics of neuroendocrine cancer. The position is based jointly at FMHS and at Auckland City Hospital.
The role requires strong interest in clinical care and clinical research and enthusiasm to develop molecular biology laboratory skills. Research work will involve the use of clinical data along with sample processing, genomic and bioinformatics analysis, and data interpretation based on a deep biological understanding of cancer. The position will also involve reciprocal training, interaction with other researchers, clinicians and patients, project management and preparation of publications. The position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills and will provide the opportunity to be part of a broad collaborative research team.

Minimum Requirements: The role requires a strong interest in clinical research and an enthusiasm to develop molecular biology laboratory skills, focusing on genomics and bioinformatics.
All applicants must be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
